SHADOW PEOPLE

I was talking with my niece, Kim, about "Shadow People" and hopefully she will tell her story on this blog with her encounters with them.  I myself have encountered two men in my bedroom one night.  The lights were off but you could still see about the room.  In the corner I saw two men ... but only from the thighs up ... talking to each other.  I could see their profiles and their moving and gesturing.  I could not hear them.  I studied them seriously and then they both looked at me and then started talking among themselves again.  Eventually they faded out.  It was amazing!

Well, a couple of nights ago I was turning over in bed, just went to bed not asleep yet, and there to my amazement was a woman (from the chest up) beside the bed (sitting) with her arms crossed.  I was looking and thinking it was fantastic!  I could see through her.  And, she finally faded out.  It was wonderful and not scary at all.  I don't seem to be ever afraid, thank God!

So, it's interesting isn't it.  Something to think about.

  1. Awesome! ^_^ I woke up to the faint smell of cigarettes this morning and knew Dad was around, which is interesting because today Uncle Eddie picked up Dad's old lathe.

Yes, shadow people... Yours seem to be more benevolent than mine, but perhaps fear colored my perception back then. This all happened about 10 years ago, when i was around 20 or so - forgive me if I misremember a few details.

My first encounter occurred around 10 or 11pm after driving home from a friend's. I was getting out of my car and happened to look in the side mirror as I was exiting, I saw the reflection of a man standing behind my car a few feet, somehow darker than the surrounding night, and not solid. He was tall and featureless from what i could see in the mirror. I jumped out of the car and turned to look at him as i ran for the house, but he was no longer there. The second encounter was very similar: same friend's house i was returning from, same time of night, maybe a little later. It had been about 2 weeks since I'd seen the shade initially. This time I was out of my car and walking up the sidewalk when I got a feeling of uneasiness and looked around. Standing to my right, roughly 20 feet away was a tall black shadow shaped like a man, slouching against a telephone pole, and it was looking right at me, and I could see the telephone pole through it. I bolted for my house and saw it shift into the street where it was lost in the night.

About a month later, around 10 pm, I got a panicked call from my friend (the one who I'd been returning from in both of my encounters). She told me she had been leaving work when her encounter occured. She drove a white car at the time, and the parking lot was empty except for it and the dark. There were no lights in the lot, there still aren't. She looked up accross the lot and saw her car faintly, and against the white, she saw a tall black shape. Initially thinking it was a thief, she ran towards the car, hitting the panic button on her key ring and shouting. The man slipped off into the dark, faster than she thought possible. She jumped in her car and started it, flipping the headlights on to see where he'd gone. There was no one there. She turned the car around and called her husband and related everything to him, but then she started to remember the details, and she called me to ask some questions. She said she could see her car through him, and that he had no face, but she had been sure he was looking at her. He did not run away so much as he moved into the night and vanished.
At the time all this was happening, another friend of mine had moved into an apartment that felt strange to her and everyone else who went into her bedroom. There was a sense of brooding there, of something dark. I called her to tell her what had been happening and she told me that she had been having shadows turn up too. She said she saw one just hanging out in the corner of her bedroom, and on a separate occasion, she had woken up to one close by, which then slid up the wall and accross the ceiling, sliding out her bedroom window.

That was the last we saw of them though, and I'm okay with that. They may have looked roughly like people (apart from the tallness and featurelessness), but I don't know if they ever were people. It didn't feel like it.
